DeeAnn Germany

DeeAnn L. Germany joined the firm of Burch & George in 1998 immediately after receiving her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and has spent her entire legal career with the firm. In 2011, she became a partner and the firm changed its name to Burch, George & Germany, P.C.

Her practice has maintained its same essential focus over the years: solely personal injury work, representing individuals in cases involving medical-device and products liability, motor-vehicle accidents, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and breaches of contracts.

Early in her career, DeeAnn Germany and law partner, Derek Burch Oklahoma City OK, tried a slip-and-fall case that resulted in a verdict of more than $1 million for a young man who was severely and permanently injured.

In 2007, DeeAnn recorded a $1,025,000 verdict against an orthopedic medical-device manufacturer after a femoral stem broke in a hip replacement for her client.

She also recently negotiated a just settlement on behalf of the family of a three-year-old girl who was killed in an accident with a tractor-trailer that jackknifed when its driver was going too fast on a two-lane country road.

In representing injured people and their families, DeeAnn Germany finds that compassion is often in short supply with defendant companies.

“One thing I’ve learned over the years is that companies and insurance companies have no sympathy for the people they’re servicing or getting business from,” she says. “They won’t do anything until they’re forced to. It’s unfortunate that it has to take the simple filing of a lawsuit for a company or insurance company to play its hand or answer, which is sad.”

When Attorney DeeAnn Germany was in law school, she spent parts of two years interning in the Juvenile Division of the Public Defender’s Office; she also spent time working pro bono in a similar fashion with Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, which provides volunteer legal assistance on behalf of children who are abused and neglected in Oklahoma County District Court.

Attorney Germany is also active in several bar organizations

When not focusing her attention on law, Germany enjoys spending time with her family and her two children, Tyler and Sophie. She also enjoys running, skiing, tennis, and attending soccer games, tennis matches and professional baseball games.
