We solicited nominations from the community of young athletes who would benefit from the chance to go to an Oklahoma football camp to work on their skills and improve their game.  We believe that the game of football teaches valuable life skills that extend beyond the game itself—the value of teamwork, the reward of hard work and discipline, and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity. We apply those lessons daily as Oklahoma personal injury lawyers advocating for injured people who are seeking justice.

We received nominations on behalf of a number of worthy young players, and the two winners Walker and Cassidy received enthusiastic endorsements.

Each student will receive up to $350 in financial assistance to attend a football camp of their choice as well as a $250 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods to purchase football gear.

Mark Lippe, Head Football Coach and High School Principal at Adair High School, who nominated Walker Graves described him as one of the best players on a team that has compiled a 34-4 record in three seasons and a leader on the field and in the locker room. He predicted that football camp would be a life-changing experience for the young man.

“Thank you for all you have done for Walker,” Lippe told us. “It has truly made a difference in his life. His grades are better than they have ever been and he is more devoted to our football program than ever. It is an honor to be his coach.”

When presented the football camp sponsorship, Walker Graves said, “It’s an honor to win an award like this. I greatly appreciate all of my coaches and teammates that work hard everyday and helped me achieve it.”

Kirk Sewell, one of four people who nominated Cassidy Whitaker, described Cassidy as an amazing young man who loves football and does exceptionally well on the field. When presented the sponsorship, Cassidy said he felt very special to win it and would keep giving football his all.

Wakanda Whitaker, Cassidy’s mother, said, “I want to thank the people that made this happen. Cassidy is a great kid and football is his life.”
